Randotrek's Cycling Holiday for Roadies
ITALY - Apennine Mounts supported tour (7 days) - Overview
Overview - Details - Bookings

The tour goes through the Appennini, the mountain backbone of the Peninsula, within the beautiful
regions of Lazio, Umbria and Abruzzo.
Seven days offering some of the most exciting rides you can find in Central Italy: passing through 3 National Parks, with memorable climbs and descents.
The slopes of Campo Imperatore and the Maielletta
are just as testing as the Dolomites in the Alps.
What makes Apennines unique, is the variety of landscapes, like the mystical prairies and sheer
walls of the Sibillini Mountains or the spectacular mountain scenery of Gran Sasso, all brought
together by gentle rolling hills spotted with olive
trees and medieval villages.
Offering solitude and grandeur, this fantastic
escape, intertwines enchanting pockets of civilization with ancient culture and unsurpassed beauty.
Last but not least, the sumptuous cuisine of the Apennine area, and the generous taste of wines,
such as Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, the best
expression of the warm hospitality you can still
find in this remote part of Italy.
